Creating Befautiful Plots

Rules to follow

• DO NOT leave empty whitespaces left and right of the plot. Fill the entire span fully.
• Fonts must be the same as the body font.
• Font size can be one-step down. E.g., \footnotesize instead of \normalsize.

Tools

• https://github.com/wiseodd/pub-ready-plots
  • Will calculate the proper sizes and styles for you. You just need to specify the name of the conference.
  • Always generate plots on your local machine. Generating plots on a remote server = high chance of incorrect fonts.

  • Nice, huge selection of color palettes. Avoid using the default of Matplotlib.
