Possible Topics
- Showcase progress, get feedback.
- Feel behind in some math foundations or engineering skills? Personalized, "flipped teaching":
- Math: You read a few subsections and do 1 or 2 problems, then present the solutions during the meeting.
- Engineering: You implement a model/technique/algorithm, then we do a code review during the meeting.
- Soft skill advice.
- E.g., career planning, workload balance, etc.
- Meta skills.
- E.g., writing craft, presentation skills, etc.
Preparation
It's in our best interests for the meeting to be productive. So:
- Prepare your main questions beforehand.
- Prepare your progress summary in 1 or 2 slides.
- Prepare your reading/solution for the flipped learning.
